US Treasury Secretary: We may reach an agreement with Iran today or tomorrow to reopen the Strait of Hormuz - Sarmad

US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent said that the United States and Iran could reach an agreement today, Tuesday, or tomorrow, Wednesday, to reopen the Strait of Hormuz.

In an interview with CNBC on Tuesday, he confirmed that a potential deal could ensure freedom of navigation through the strait for ships, noting that talks are ongoing with the Iranians regarding the reopening of the waterway.

He explained that if such an agreement is reached, it could pave the way for a return to a more normal situation amid the current conflict.
