Ministry of Public Works holds a meeting to discuss the route and stations of truck weighing, attended by relevant authorities - Sarmad

(KUNA) – The Ministry of Public Works, represented by the Road Engineering Department, held a meeting attended by representatives from the Ministry of Interior, the Kuwait Municipality, the General Customs Authority, and the Kuwait Ports Authority, to discuss agreements and the design of truck weighing routes and their associated facilities in the State of Kuwait.

The Ministry stated in a press release on Monday that its Design Department prepared a terms of reference document outlining a comprehensive study of the truck stations, facilities, and routes required in Kuwait. A presentation was delivered, illustrating the project’s strategic objectives, the scope of the study, and the expected outputs and outcomes.

It was noted that the requirements and observations of each attending entity were discussed, and it was agreed to hold periodic coordination meetings to finalize the comprehensive agreement for the truck weighing system study.

The State of Kuwait is witnessing rapid urban expansion and a continuous increase in road transport activity. In light of its plan, the Ministry is working to improve the construction, maintenance, and asphalt works on main roads.
