Minister of Public Works: The will of Kuwaitis forged an unbreakable nation and entrenched values of sacrifice and belonging across generations - Sarmad

(KUNA) – Minister of Public Works Dr. Noura Al-Mashaan affirmed that the 36th anniversary of the brutal Iraqi aggression against Kuwait is a national occasion “in which we recall the meanings of patience, steadfastness, and unity, and remember the heroic deeds of Kuwaiti sons who proved that love for the homeland and adherence to its identity are the means to overcome the most difficult challenges.”
Speaking to the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) on this occasion, which coincides with today, Sunday, Dr. Al-Mashaan said that this historical phase demonstrated the authenticity of the Kuwaiti people and the strength of their cohesion, as unity of ranks and solidarity between the leadership and the people formed the foundation for preserving the nation and restoring its security and stability.
She added that the noble martyrs of Kuwait will remain eternal symbols of sacrifice and devotion, and what they offered in defense of the homeland constitutes a solid national legacy from which future generations will draw values of loyalty, belonging, and responsibility.
She praised the national role of Kuwaiti women during the period of the brutal Iraqi aggression, noting that they presented an exemplary model of resilience and dedication, contributed to supporting society and maintaining its cohesion, and left a prominent mark in the pages of Kuwait’s history.
She commended the efforts of employees at the Ministry of Public Works during that period and the work they carried out to preserve state facilities in service of the country, affirming that national cadres have always proven their ability to bear responsibility under all circumstances.
Dr. Al-Mashaan expressed her appreciation for the sisterly and friendly countries that stood by Kuwait during its ordeal, commending the historical stances that reflected the depth of relations and bonds of brotherhood and cooperation.
She prayed to God Almighty to protect Kuwait, its people, and its leadership, and to perpetuate upon it the blessings of security, safety, and stability under the leadership of His Highness the Amir of Kuwait, Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, may God protect and guard him; His Highness the Crown Prince, Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah; and His Highness Sheikh Ahmed Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, Prime Minister, may God protect them.
