America: Shooting kills 3 people at a shopping center in Idaho - Sarmad

A spokesperson for the city of Twin Falls, United States, announced that three people were killed and seven others were injured, some in critical condition, in a shooting that occurred on Saturday afternoon at a restaurant in the city, located in Idaho.

Josh Palmer, the city’s media affairs coordinator, said that police officers who responded to the scene found the suspect’s body in an area near an In-N-Out Burger restaurant, and it was unclear whether the suspect was included in the casualty count, according to The Associated Press.

Palmer added that officials were still working to notify the victims’ families, so names, ages, or other details about those injured in the shooting had not yet been released, noting that some of the injured were in critical condition.

For his part, Twin Falls Police Chief Matthew Hicks said the shooter was killed and there was no longer any danger to the public, adding: “The scene was extremely chaotic.”

Hicks said during a news conference held earlier on Saturday that he did not know the exact number of casualties.

He clarified that the shooter was among the victims, and that police were working to identify him and determine his motives, without providing further details.

The Twin Falls Police Department stated on Facebook that roads in the area and a nearby bridge were closed immediately after the report was received.
