Infantino: FIFA cancels plans to sell stake in World Cup to investors - Sarmad

FIFA, the international football governing body, has scrapped plans to sell a stake in the World Cup to private-sector investors following widespread negative reactions, according to FIFA President Gianni Infantino.

Infantino said, “After carefully listening to all views, it has become clear that the project has caused divisions, and regardless of the level of support, it no longer serves the original objective.”
