"The Wall Street Journal": Trump orders military to launch new attack on Iran - Sarmad

U.S. officials said President Donald Trump ordered the military to launch a new attack on Iran, which could begin as early as this weekend and last for several days, according to The Wall Street Journal.

Earlier on Friday, Trump told reporters that he intended to resume intense military strikes to force the Iranian regime back to the negotiating table.

He added that he expected that if the United States delivered sufficiently powerful strikes against Iran, the hardline regime would gradually lose momentum and ultimately be forced to back down.

Trump stated during a U.S. government meeting on Friday: “We will hit them very hard, and at some point they will say: We can’t take this anymore.”

The U.S. president’s remarks came during the meeting held at the presidential retreat Camp David, according to the newspaper.
