Tripoli protests escalate: Protesters seal off the premises of the Presidential Council and the House of Representatives - Sarmad

Protesters in Tripoli escalated their actions today by blocking the premises of the Presidential Council in the Al-Nawfaliya area and the House of Representatives in the Zawiyat Al-Dahmani area.

This escalation comes a day after five ministries and a government authority were shut down, including the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Zawiyat Al-Dahmani, the Ministry of Marine Resources, the Ministry of Planning, the Ministry of Agriculture, and the Anti-Corruption Authority.

Prior to that, a wave of closures targeted the main headquarters of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Youth, the Ministry of Local Government, as well as several offices of oil companies, including the General Administration of Milta Oil and Gas Company and the General Administration of Zuwarah Oil Company, in addition to the Tripoli Sub-Control Department of the General Electricity Company and the Civil Aviation Authority.

The capital, Tripoli, has witnessed escalating protests over the past few days, which have gradually expanded to include government, oil, and service institutions. Protesters continue to affirm that their actions will persist until their demands are met, foremost among which are resolving the electricity crisis and improving services, alongside the dismissal of all political figures without exception.
