(KUNA) – Kuwait’s Ambassador to the United States, Sheikha Al-Zein Al-Sabah, reaffirmed on Friday Kuwait’s commitment to innovation and economic diversification amid rapid regional changes. Her remarks came during a roundtable organized by the Middle East Institute in Washington, D.C., on how Kuwait is addressing the ongoing Iranian aggression and its economic repercussions. The Kuwaiti ambassador in Washington highlighted the impact of the crisis on Kuwait and the strong, decades-long U.S.-Kuwaiti partnership, as well as the country’s resilience during this challenging period. She discussed the economic costs of the war alongside ongoing opportunities, drawing attention to the recent announcement of a $16 billion pipeline deal between the Kuwait Petroleum Corporation and U.S. companies, marking the largest foreign direct investment in Kuwait’s history. Ambassador Al-Zein Al-Sabah also emphasized Kuwait’s focus on innovation and economic diversification, ranging from artificial intelligence to healthcare and other sectors, in pursuit of building a promising future for the nation’s youth.
