Iran: We did not carry out the Damietta Port attack, and relations with Egypt are solid and firm - Sarmad

The Iranian Interests Section in Cairo sent a message to Egyptians following the attack by an unidentified drone on two liquefied natural gas (LNG) tankers at the Port of Damietta, affirming that Tehran did not carry out this act.
The Iranian mission in Egypt posted on Facebook a categorical denial of accusations linking Iran to the incident, emphasizing that “Iran denies targeting the gas facility at the Port of Damietta.”
The mission’s account stated: “A senior source in the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs denied rumors circulating in some media outlets that Tehran targeted a floating LNG storage and regasification unit at Egypt’s Port of Damietta, in the wake of a fire that spread to a second ship.”
It continued: “The source affirmed that Iran did not carry out this operation whatsoever, and has no intention of undertaking such an act.”
