Lebanese Ministry of Culture: Historic Shqif Castle Not Destroyed by Occupation Bombings - Sarmad

The Lebanese Ministry of Culture confirmed on Friday that the historic Shiqf Castle was not destroyed by the massive explosions carried out by Israeli occupation forces in the area opposite the castle in the south of the country.
The General Directorate of Antiquities under the Ministry of Culture stated in a press release that the tremors resulting from these explosions may have caused damage to the castle’s surroundings, noting that the full extent of the damage can only be determined through an on-site inspection.
It pointed out that the occupation of the Shiqf area by Israeli forces prevented specialized technical teams from being present at the site to conduct the necessary assessment and accurately evaluate the damage.
