Kuwait's Ambassador to Yemen presents credentials to the Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council - Sarmad

(KUNA) – Kuwait’s Ambassador to the Republic of Yemen, Falah Al-Mutairi, presented his credentials as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Yemeni Presidential Leadership Council Chairman Rashad Al-Alimi on Thursday.

In a statement to the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA), Ambassador Al-Mutairi said he conveyed greetings from His Highness the Amir of Kuwait, Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, may God protect him, to His Highness the Crown Prince, Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, may God protect him, and to His Highness Sheikh Ahmed Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, the Prime Minister, may God protect him. He also conveyed their best wishes for robust health and happiness to Chairman Al-Alimi, and for the Republic of Yemen and its brotherly people, wishing them security, prosperity, and development.

He praised the deep historical fraternal relations between Kuwait and Yemen, emphasizing his commitment to strengthening cooperation and ties between the two countries across various political, economic, developmental, and humanitarian fields, in a manner that serves the shared interests of both nations and their brotherly peoples.

He affirmed that Kuwait supports Yemen’s security, unity, and stability, and backs all efforts and initiatives aimed at reaching a peaceful settlement and achieving peace in accordance with locally agreed frameworks and those supported regionally and internationally, namely the Gulf Initiative and its implementation mechanism, the outcomes of the National Dialogue Conference, and relevant UN Security Council resolutions, foremost among them Resolution 2216.

For his part, Yemeni Presidential Leadership Council Chairman Al-Alimi conveyed his greetings to His Highness the Amir of Kuwait, Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, may God protect him, to His Highness the Crown Prince, Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, may God protect him, and to His Highness Sheikh Ahmed Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, the Prime Minister, may God protect him. He also extended best wishes for their health and well-being, and for Kuwait and its people, wishing them enduring security, prosperity, and development under their wise leadership.

He reaffirmed Yemen’s firm and principled stance condemning Iranian aggressive attacks on Kuwait and its vital civilian and economic facilities, describing them as an infringement on Kuwait’s sovereignty and on Arab national security. He emphasized Yemen’s solidarity and its steadfast support for Kuwait and its leadership in safeguarding its security and sovereignty and defending its interests.

He praised the strong historical fraternal relations between the two brotherly countries, as well as Kuwait’s support for Yemen’s unity, security, and stability, and its valuable contributions in supporting the Yemeni people in political, economic, and humanitarian fields amid the current circumstances.

He affirmed the commitment of the Presidential Leadership Council and the Yemeni government to provide the necessary facilitations to the Kuwaiti Ambassador to ensure the success of his mission in enhancing and developing relations between the two brotherly countries and serving their shared interests.
