Interior Ministry: Six houses housing illegal rugs seized in joint security campaign in the capital - Sarmad

As part of joint security efforts to strengthen law enforcement and protect society, the Security Directorates Affairs sector, represented by the Capital Governorate Security Directorate, conducted a security campaign in collaboration with the Public Authority for Food and Nutrition and the Kuwait Municipality, targeting residences operating illegal grocery stores.
The campaign followed observations by support patrols of the Capital Governorate Security Directorate during their field operations, which identified several residences suspected of being used to operate illegal grocery stores. Immediate coordination was established with the Public Authority for Food and Nutrition and the Kuwait Municipality, all legal procedures were completed, and the necessary permits were obtained to commence inspection operations.
The campaign resulted in the seizure of six residences exploited for unlicensed commercial activities, the apprehension of 11 individuals violating labor laws, and the confiscation of two trucks used to distribute food and consumer goods to these residences. Additionally, a motorcycle wanted in a theft case was seized, while the Kuwait Municipality confiscated two motorcycles found in violation of regulations.
The Public Authority for Food and Nutrition issued 26 violation notices against the seized sites, and the offenders were referred to the competent authorities to take the necessary legal action against them.
The Ministry of Interior affirmed its continued implementation of joint security campaigns in coordination with relevant entities across various governorates, contributing to the enhancement of the rule of law and the preservation of community security and safety.
