«Interior»: 16 suspects arrested in 9 different cases for possession of narcotics and psychotropic substances with intent to traffic and consume - Sarmad

The General Directorate for Combating Narcotics successfully arrested 16 suspects, who were involved in nine separate cases, following intensive surveillance and investigative operations that uncovered their activities. It was found that they possessed narcotic substances and psychoactive drugs with the intent to traffic and consume them, as part of the continuous security efforts undertaken by the Ministry of Interior to combat the scourge of narcotics and confront their traffickers.

The operations yielded the following seizures:

- 3 kilograms and 35 grams of methamphetamine (Shabu).

- 15 grams of heroin.

- 11 grams of cannabis (hashish).

- 2 grams of “chemical” (synthetic drugs).

- 96 sheets saturated with liquid “chemical,” along with fragments saturated with the same substance.

- 2,502 tablets of Captagon.

- 81 tablets and one capsule of psychoactive substances.

- 3 sensitive scales.

- 960 Kuwaiti dinars, representing proceeds from trafficking.

In one case, the General Directorate for Combating Narcotics foiled an attempt to smuggle a quantity of methamphetamine into the country. Precise investigations led to the detection of an incoming postal shipment in which the substance had been secretly concealed. The shipment was tracked, and the suspect was arrested immediately upon receipt. Additionally, another quantity of methamphetamine intended for distribution was found in his possession.

The suspects and seized items were referred to the competent authorities to take the necessary legal actions against them.
