Chief of Staff: Cooperation and coordination to consolidate security of waterways and freedom of navigation - Sarmad

Lieutenant General Khaled Al-Sharhan, Chief of the General Staff of the Kuwaiti Army, chaired Kuwait’s delegation at the meeting of chiefs of staff participating in the Combined Maritime Forces’ Defensive Maritime Coalition for the Preservation of Freedom of Navigation in the Bab al-Mandab Strait, which was held in the sister Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

During the meeting, the Chief of the General Staff emphasized the importance of waterways and the necessity of safeguarding international navigation safety therein, particularly in light of current conditions and the security developments witnessed in the region.

He stressed the importance of enhancing cooperation and coordination among participating states, which contributes to consolidating security and stability and ensuring freedom of navigation in waterways.

Lieutenant General Al-Sharhan and the accompanying delegation returned to Kuwait following the conclusion of the official visit to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
