Kuwait Stock Exchange indicators diverge at the start of today's trading - Sarmad

Key indicators of the Kuwait Stock Exchange showed mixed movements at the start of Thursday’s trading session, following the US Federal Reserve’s decision.

By 9:15 a.m. Kuwait time, the “First Market” index fell by 0.02%, while the “General” index rose by 0.02%, the “Main” index grew by approximately 0.23%, and the “Main 50” index climbed by 0.40%, compared to Wednesday’s levels.

It is worth noting that the US Federal Reserve kept interest rates unchanged yesterday, maintaining them within the current range of 3.5% to 3.75%.

At that time, the Kuwait Stock Exchange recorded liquidity valued at 6.06 million dinars, distributed across 18.46 million shares, with 1,180 trades executed.

Trading saw eight sectors rise, led by Manafe by 0.68%, while three sectors declined, headed by the banking sector by approximately 0.11%, and two sectors remained stable.

Regarding individual stocks, the price of 44 shares rose, led by “Mubrid” by 1.59%, while the price of 28 shares fell, with “Rasiate” leading the decline at 7.34%, following a rise in its second-quarter profits and the board’s recommendation for a cash dividend. The price of 18 shares remained unchanged.

“Makhazen” shares led in trading volume with 3.38 million shares, while “Cables” shares topped liquidity with a value of 914,810 dinars.
