US Army Signs Largest-Ever Patriot Missile Deal with Lockheed Martin - Sarmad

The U.S. Department of Defense announced that the U.S. Army has signed a contract with Lockheed Martin worth $58.62 billion to produce Patriot interceptor missiles, a record-breaking deal awarded amid dwindling U.S. weapons stocks due to ongoing conflicts around the world.

The United States has supplied large quantities of arms to its allies, while using munitions in its military operations in Iran, raising concerns about the reserves of key air defense systems and precision-guided weapons.

The U.S. Army clarified that this contract converts a previous one-year, $4.7 billion agreement signed in April into a seven-year framework covering a multi-year procurement plan for interceptor missiles from fiscal year 2026 through 2032.
