Foreign Minister Discusses with Pakistani Army Chief Enhancing Regional Security and Stability - Sarmad

(KUNA) – Kuwait’s Foreign Minister, Sheikh Jaraah Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, met today, Wednesday, with the Chief of Army Staff and Commander of the Armed Forces of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, General Asim Munir, during his official visit to the Pakistani capital, Islamabad.
The Kuwaiti Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement that the meeting reviewed the deep-rooted historical relations between the two countries and their friendly peoples.
It added that the meeting also emphasized the importance of continuing to strengthen cooperation frameworks, intensifying coordination and consultation across various fields, particularly in the defense and security sectors, to advance bilateral relations to broader horizons and serve the shared interests of the two friendly nations.
The statement clarified that the meeting discussed the latest regional developments and efforts aimed at de-escalation and enhancing security and stability in the region. Sheikh Jaraah Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah expressed Kuwait’s appreciation for the active diplomatic role played by the Islamic Republic of Pakistan in this regard.
