Foreign Minister Discusses Latest Regional Developments with Pakistani Prime Minister in Islamabad - Sarmad

The Prime Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, the friendly nation’s Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, received today, Wednesday, Foreign Minister Sheikh Jaraah Jaber Al-Ahmad, on the occasion of his official visit to the Pakistani capital, Islamabad. The meeting was attended by Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, as well as ministers of defense, trade, national food security and research, communications, maritime affairs, and petroleum, along with a number of senior Pakistani officials.

During the meeting, Sheikh Jaraah conveyed greetings from His Highness the Amir of Kuwait, Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah; His Highness the Crown Prince, Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah; and His Highness Sheikh Ahmed Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, Prime Minister, to President Asif Ali Zardari, President of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, and to Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif. He also conveyed their best wishes for the continued progress and prosperity of the friendly government and people of Pakistan.

The meeting reviewed the long-standing historical bilateral relations between the two countries and their peoples, and discussed ways to elevate and strengthen cooperation across various fields in a manner that serves the shared interests of both nations.

The latest regional developments and efforts aimed at enhancing security and stability in the region were also discussed.

Sheikh Jaraah expressed Kuwait’s appreciation for the active diplomatic role played by the Islamic Republic of Pakistan in supporting regional security and stability.

Sheikh Jaraah also held talks with Muhammad Ishaq Dar, Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister. The meeting reviewed the close historical ties linking the two countries and their peoples.

Both sides emphasized their commitment to strengthening Kuwaiti-Pakistani cooperation across various fields and intensifying coordination and consultation at different levels, thereby contributing to advancing bilateral relations to higher levels and serving the shared interests of the two friendly countries.
