"Trade": Rationing "Supply" for Kuwaiti Citizens, Their Families, and Their Employees - Sarmad

The Minister of Commerce and Industry, Osama Al-Boudi, issued a decision amending Item 1 of Article 5 of Ministerial Decision No. 216 of 2014.

Item 1 stipulated the following: Categories eligible to receive subsidized goods:

A– Citizens, their families, and their domestic workers.

Article 2 of the decision stated that “all provisions establishing or regulating the distribution or utilization of subsidized goods for categories not specified in this decision are hereby repealed.”

Article 3 stipulated that “the distribution of subsidized goods allocated to the subsidy card for any individual proven to have resold or transferred such goods to others shall be suspended, and the offender shall be referred to the competent authorities to take the necessary legal action against them.”
