Head of the National Cybersecurity Center and Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs for Human Rights Affairs Discuss Joint Cooperation - Sarmad

(KUNA) – The head of the National Cybersecurity Authority, Abeer Al-Awadi, and the Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs for Human Rights, Ambassador Sheikh Jauhar Ibrahim Al-Duwaish Al-Sabah, discussed cooperation in areas of mutual interest.

The Authority stated in a press release on Sunday that this took place during Al-Awadi’s reception of Sheikh Jauhar Al-Sabah, where ways to enhance cooperation and coordination between the two sides were discussed regarding international agreements related to human rights, particularly the Convention on the Rights of the Child, the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women, and the International Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Racial Discrimination, as well as topics related to combating human trafficking.

The statement noted that both sides reviewed mechanisms to enhance coordination and exchange expertise in regional and international participations related to cybersecurity and human rights, contributing to supporting the State of Kuwait’s presence at international forums and highlighting its efforts in developing the cybersecurity system in accordance with best practices and international standards.

They also emphasized the importance of continuing joint cooperation and coordination to keep pace with international developments, enhance Kuwait’s standing in the fields of cybersecurity and human rights, and achieve common goals in this regard.
