Lebanese Civil Defense recovers bodies from Western Zouk - Sarmad

Footage from inside the western town of Zaiter shows Civil Defense teams carrying out recovery operations for the deceased, as well as search and field survey activities within the town, according to our correspondent.

Lebanese Civil Defense teams and paramedics, including members of the Islamic Scout Movement and the Health Authority, have so far recovered at least eight bodies from under the rubble and on the outskirts of the town, where they perished during the Israeli aggression on the area.

Media-documented field assessments indicate that most residential units and facilities in western Zaiter have been reduced to rubble or severely damaged, complicating search efforts.

Bulldozers and machinery belonging to the Civil Defense are working in coordination with the Lebanese Army to remove earth barriers and open vital routes to facilitate the clearance of suspicious objects and shrapnel.

These humanitarian operations coincide with the implementation of the “Pilot Zones” plan, aimed at ensuring a gradual and safe return of residents to their villages.
