Al-Sharaa and Guterres discuss cooperation and support for early recovery efforts in Syria - Sarmad

Syrian President Ahmad al-Sharaa met with United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres at the People’s Palace in Damascus on Saturday.

During the meeting, al-Sharaa and Guterres discussed ways to enhance cooperation between Syria and the United Nations in humanitarian and development fields, as well as support for early recovery and reconstruction efforts.

Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to respecting Syria’s sovereignty, unity, and territorial integrity, according to the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA).
