Interior Minister from Basra: Opening of the Abdali Crossing within 48 hours - Sarmad

The First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, Sheikh Fahad Al-Yousef, announced the reopening of the Abdi border crossing to passenger and commercial traffic within 48 hours.
Speaking at a joint press conference with Basra Governor Asaad Al-Eidani in Basra, Al-Yousef stated that relations between Iraq and Kuwait are strong and cannot be undermined. He confirmed that damage assessments would be conducted at the Abdi crossing, which would reopen within 48 hours to facilitate the entry of Iraqis and the exit of Kuwaiti citizens to Iraq, as well as to sustain commercial trade between the two countries.
For his part, Basra Governor Asaad Al-Eidani said at the press conference that Iraq welcomes the visit of the First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior of Kuwait and his accompanying delegation through the Safwan border crossing. He noted that this visit underscores Iraq’s stance as a country of love and peace toward its brothers in the Gulf states, particularly Kuwait, and affirmed that relations between the two nations are built on brotherhood and shared interests.
