Belgium Arrests Canadian of Chinese Origin Who Was an Intern at NATO - Sarmad

The Belgian prosecutor general announced on Saturday that authorities had arrested a Canadian woman of Chinese origin, who was an intern at a NATO site in Belgium, on charges of espionage.
In a statement, the prosecutor general said, “She is suspected of spying on behalf of a third country and of belonging to a criminal organization,” adding that further details about her, including her name, would not be disclosed at this time.
The prosecutor general noted that the suspect had been interning at SHAPE, a NATO facility located in the Belgian city of Mons.
