Trump: Netanyahu to visit America within days - Sarmad

US President Donald Trump said that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will visit the United States within days.

Trump’s remarks came during his speech at the White House Correspondents’ Association dinner on Friday, where he described US Senator Chuck Schumer as Palestinian.

Trump added, “I will send him (Schumer) a beautiful Palestinian outfit tomorrow so he can welcome Bibi Netanyahu when he comes to the city in the coming days.”

Speaking about Schumer, a Jew, Trump said, “He has become Palestinian,” jokingly adding that Islamic Sharia had become his “new foundational reference.”

American Muslim and Jewish rights groups had previously criticized Trump for describing Schumer, the Democratic leader in the Senate, as Palestinian. These groups stated that Trump uses the term derogatorily as an insult and slur.

Netanyahu’s office earlier said the prime minister would visit Washington on Monday and meet with Trump on Tuesday.

The office added that Netanyahu would also attend the funeral of US Senator Lindsey Graham. Trump and Netanyahu’s meeting comes as the US-Israeli war on Iran completes its fifth month.
