Kuwait and Italy discuss military cooperation and strengthening strategic defense partnership - Sarmad

Chief of the General Staff of the Kuwaiti Army, Lieutenant General Khaled Al-Sharhan, met with his Italian counterpart, Chief of the Italian Defense Staff, Lieutenant General Luciano Portolano, during his official visit to Italy.

An official welcome ceremony was held for Lieutenant General Al-Sharhan at the headquarters of the Italian General Staff in the capital, Rome.

During the meeting, the bilateral relations between Kuwait and Italy were reviewed, and ways to enhance joint military cooperation and strengthen the strategic defense partnership between the two friendly countries were discussed. The two sides also discussed the current situation in the region and ways to enhance security and stability.

He was accompanied on the visit by a delegation of senior commanding officers from the Kuwaiti Army.
