Saudi Crown Prince and Pakistani Prime Minister Discuss De-escalation Efforts - Sarmad

Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman received a phone call from Pakistani Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif.

At the outset of the call, the Pakistani prime minister reiterated his country’s condemnation and denunciation of the Houthi militia’s attack on a Saudi vessel and its threats to freedom of navigation in the Red Sea, affirming Pakistan’s firm and unwavering support for the security and sovereignty of the Kingdom.

The two leaders also discussed recent developments in the regional situation and efforts to de-escalate tensions and enhance security and stability in the region.

For his part, the Pakistani prime minister posted on his X account: “I agreed with Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman to continue working and close coordination to preserve security, peace, and stability in the region, and to ensure the smooth flow of legitimate maritime trade through the Red Sea, the Strait of Hormuz, and the region as a whole.”
