Kuwait: Continuation of Iran and its proxies' aggression against the country.. a direct threat to security and stability - Sarmad

(KUNA) – The Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed Kuwait’s condemnation and strongest denunciation of the ongoing, egregious aggression launched by Iran and its proxies against the country, which on Thursday targeted the Al-Abdali border crossing through a series of hostile drone attacks. This constitutes a blatant violation of Kuwait’s sovereignty, a direct threat to its security and stability, and a grave breach of the rules of international law, the UN Charter, and Security Council Resolution 2817.

In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs emphasized that “persisting in these brazen and repeated attacks represents a serious escalation and a direct threat to regional security and stability, reflecting a systematic, unjustifiable, and unacceptable hostile approach.”

It reaffirmed Kuwait’s firm commitment to its full and inherent right to self-defense under Article 51 of the UN Charter, and to taking all necessary measures to safeguard its sovereignty, protect its territory and resources, and preserve its security and stability.
