Kuwait: Houthi militia attack on Saudi ship is a direct threat to security and freedom of navigation - Sarmad

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed Kuwait’s strong condemnation and denunciation on Thursday of the attack launched by the Houthi militia on a Saudi ship while it was sailing in the Red Sea, which constitutes a blatant violation of international law and a direct threat to the security and freedom of maritime navigation, the integrity of international trade, and energy supplies.
In a press statement, the Foreign Ministry affirmed Kuwait’s full solidarity with the brotherly Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, standing by its side and supporting all measures it takes to safeguard its sovereignty, protect its security and interests, and emphasizing Kuwait’s rejection of any practices that could destabilize the region’s security and stability.
It stressed the necessity of an immediate halt to these attacks and adherence to the rules of international law that guarantee freedom of navigation and safe passage through international waterways.
