Rashad al-Alimi, Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council and Supreme Commander of the Yemeni Armed Forces, said on Monday evening that the time has come to end the suffering inflicted by the Houthi terrorist militias. He called on the Yemeni people, across all their components, to rally around the state project and support the armed forces and security agencies in their struggle to restore state institutions and end the coup.
In a televised statement, al-Alimi announced the resumption of oil exports, directing the revenues to serve citizens across the country. He emphasized that the state has never ceased its efforts to pursue peace and alleviate the suffering of citizens, but the Houthi militias chose escalation, continued to reject humanitarian initiatives, and exploited the hardships of Yemenis to advance their own agenda.
The Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council stressed that this stage requires unity of ranks and trust in the state, stating: “Yemen has no future under armed groups, there is no security with a coup, and there is no peace with a project based on perpetual war.”
