Egypt Condemns the Blameworthy Iranian Attack on a Power Plant and Water Desalination Facility in Kuwait - Sarmad

The Arab Republic of Egypt expressed its strongest condemnation of the reprehensible Iranian attack that targeted one of Kuwait’s electricity and water desalination plants, which constitutes a blatant violation of Kuwait’s sovereignty and a serious escalation that threatens the security and stability of the Gulf region and heightens regional tensions.

The Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs affirmed Egypt’s full solidarity with Kuwait and its support for all measures taken to safeguard its security and stability and protect its vital facilities. Egypt also reiterated its firm rejection of attacks on civilian infrastructure and vital assets, as such actions pose a direct threat to civilian safety and regional stability.

Egypt called for an immediate halt to all escalatory actions and for the prioritization of diplomatic solutions to preserve the security and stability of the region and spare its peoples further tension and escalation.
