Kuwait strongly condemns the Iranian attack on an electricity and desalination plant - Sarmad

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed the State of Kuwait’s strongest condemnation and denunciation of the culpable Iranian aggression that occurred this morning, which targeted another power plant and water desalination facility, in a direct attack on a vital civilian infrastructure.
The Ministry emphasized that the repeated deliberate targeting of vital and civilian facilities reflects a systematic aggressive approach, constitutes a highly dangerous escalation, and poses a serious threat to the safety and security of civilians. It represents a blatant violation of the provisions of international law, international humanitarian law, the United Nations Charter, and Security Council Resolution 2817, holding Iran fully legally and morally responsible for these serious attacks and their ensuing repercussions and consequences.
The Ministry stressed that the State of Kuwait reserves its full right to take all necessary measures to safeguard its security and defend its territory and vital infrastructure against any aggression or threat, based on its inherent right to self-defense, in accordance with Article 51 of the United Nations Charter and the rules of international law.
