CBS: Two U.S. military personnel injured in Iranian attack on Jordan - Sarmad

The American CBS network revealed on Saturday that U.S. military personnel were injured in an Iranian attack that targeted Jordan last week.

The network quoted sources as saying, “Several U.S. military personnel were injured in Iranian attacks that targeted Jordanian bases this week.”

U.S. officials, speaking on condition of anonymity, stated that “Iran attacked at least two Jordanian bases this week, resulting in the injury of several U.S. military personnel in the attack that targeted their base.”

The Iranian Revolutionary Guard announced that it had launched missile and drone strikes against Jordanian bases, most notably the Al-Azraq base and Prince Hassan Air Base.

For his part, Jordanian Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi denied the existence of any U.S. military bases on Jordanian soil, affirming that the U.S. military presence is limited and operates within the framework of joint defense cooperation agreements between the two countries, while respecting the sovereignty of the Kingdom.

Meanwhile, the Jordanian Armed Forces have been announcing, almost daily for over a week, their interception of most missiles and drones coming from Iran.
