Axios: Washington sends dozens of aerial refueling aircraft to Israel - Sarmad

The American website Axios, citing U.S. and Israeli officials, reported that the administration of U.S. President Donald Trump has informed Israel that it will send dozens of additional aerial refueling aircraft to the country, in preparation for the possibility of expanding military operations against Iran.

The website added that Trump is considering launching a large-scale attack on Iran, surpassing current strikes in the Strait of Hormuz area in terms of size and scope, following the presentation of new military plans during a meeting held in the Situation Room last Tuesday.

According to Axios, the options under consideration include bombing Iranian infrastructure facilities, such as power plants, and carrying out further attacks on Iranian nuclear sites, with the aim of burying enriched Iranian uranium deeper underground, as well as striking the “Mount Fash” nuclear site, which is suspected to be a facility still under construction.

The website quoted sources as saying that Trump has not yet made a final decision, but appears ready to escalate the war and inflict sufficient damage to compel the Iranian regime to open the Strait of Hormuz and accept his nuclear demands. The sources added that Trump may order an escalation of operations in the coming days.
