Kuwait Condemns the Blatant Iranian Missile and Drone Aggression Against Its Territory - Sarmad

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed Kuwait’s strongest condemnation and outrage at the culpable Iranian aggression by missiles and drones that targeted Kuwaiti territory today, Friday.

In a statement on the X platform today, Friday, the ministry said the attack struck one of the power and water desalination stations, resulting in a fire and damaging several electricity generation units, in a blatant violation of Kuwait’s sovereignty, security, and territorial integrity, and a grave breach of international law, international humanitarian law, the UN Charter, and Security Council Resolution 2817 of 2026.

The ministry emphasized that the continuation of this aggressive approach constitutes a highly dangerous escalation that threatens regional security and stability, represents a blatant challenge to international legitimacy, and undermines efforts aimed at de-escalation and achieving peaceful solutions.

It reaffirmed Kuwait’s inherent right to take the necessary measures to safeguard its sovereignty and preserve its security and stability, in accordance with the provisions of international law.
