“Sabah Al-Ahmad for Talent” Launches “Google for Education” Professional Development Program in Education 2026 – Sarmad

(KUNA) – The Sabah Al-Ahmad Center for Giftedness and Creativity, one of the centers under the Kuwait Foundation for the Advancement of Sciences, announced the launch of the “Google for Education Professional Development Program 2026,” aimed at empowering teachers, educational leaders, and specialists in scientific educational fields.

The center clarified in a statement to the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) on Thursday that the program also enables teachers to develop their digital skills and utilize Google Workspace for Education tools and artificial intelligence technologies in teaching and learning environments, in accordance with best practices and global standards.

It added that the program, launched in collaboration with Google for Education, will take place from August 30 to September 3, 2026, at the Giftedness Academy in the Sabah Al-Ahmad area. It will consist of five intensive training days, from 9:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. daily, and will include a series of practical workshops, collaborative activities, and project-based learning experiences.

The program focuses on key topics, including Google Workspace for Education tools, AI culture, prompt engineering, assessment strategies, digital communication, interactive classroom design, and project-based learning. It also covers the requirements for the Google Certified Educator Level 1 certification and the development of innovative AI-supported educational projects.

The program targets teachers in public and private schools, educational leaders and supervisors, university faculty members, educational technology specialists, and specialists in physics, science, chemistry, biology, mathematics, geology, and computer science. Its goal is to enhance digital instructional design skills, develop strategies for communication, collaboration, and assessment using educational technology, and support the creation of interactive, inclusive, learner-centered educational environments.

At the end of the program, participants will present their final projects, developed during the training period. These projects will include innovative AI applications in education, advanced digital educational solutions, e-learning portfolios, and interactive classroom projects. The projects will be evaluated by a specialized jury, and the top three outstanding projects will be nominated and honored, with their creators receiving incentive opportunities such as special gifts, advanced training opportunities, or nominations for an educational visit to one of Google for Education offices in the United Kingdom.

This program is part of the efforts by the Sabah Al-Ahmad Center for Giftedness and Creativity to develop national scientific competencies in the field of digital education and to enhance the readiness of educational institutions to keep pace with rapid technological transformations.
