Arab League Secretary-General Condemns Israeli Defense Minister’s Remarks on Establishing Settlements in Gaza - Sarmad

(KUNA) — Arab League Secretary-General Nabil Fahmy expressed his dismay on Tuesday regarding statements by Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz concerning the establishment of settlements in northern Gaza Strip, affirming that they reflect a genuine intention to reoccupy the territory.

In a statement, Fahmy said that the extreme inclinations of the Israeli occupation are inconsistent with the peace plan proposed last year and with United Nations Security Council Resolution 2803 issued in November 2025.

Fahmy called on the international community and the Security Council to counter these extreme trends aimed at entrenching the occupation, warning against Israeli plans in this regard.
