Meteorology: Active winds raising dust tomorrow and extremely hot weather over the next three days - Sarmad

(KUNA) – The Kuwait Meteorological Department forecast that the country will be affected tomorrow, Wednesday, by active winds stirring up dust, which will reduce visibility. During the next three days, the weather will be “very hot.”

Director of the Meteorological Department on secondment, Darar Al-Ali, told the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) on Tuesday that the country is being affected by a surface low-pressure system accompanied by a very hot air mass, with active northwesterly winds that are strong at times, reaching speeds of more than 60 kilometers per hour.

Al-Ali added that the wind activity will begin gradually from tomorrow morning, stirring up sand and dust, which will lower visibility in some areas, particularly exposed ones.

He clarified that the speed of the northwesterly winds will decrease at night, allowing dust to settle gradually and visibility to improve.

He predicted that the northwesterly winds will resume their activity on Thursday, noting that the weather during the next three days will be very hot during the day, with maximum temperatures ranging between 49 and 51 degrees Celsius.
