Oman announces targeting of a Liberian-flagged oil tanker off the coast of Musandam - Sarmad

The Maritime Security Center of the Sultanate of Oman announced that the oil tanker “MOMBASA B,” flying the flag of the Republic of Liberia, was targeted, resulting in engine failure, approximately 8.5 nautical miles off the coast of Musandam Governorate.

The Center clarified that a vessel of the Royal Navy of Oman is monitoring the incident’s developments, and noted that all 21 crew members were evacuated via nearby maritime assets, including six individuals suffering from varying degrees of injury.
