Interior Minister: Assaulting security personnel is a red line; we will not allow harm to those who protect the homeland - Sarmad

(KUNA) – The First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, Sheikh Fahad Youssef Al-Saud Al-Sabah, affirmed on Tuesday that “assaulting security personnel is a red line, and we will not tolerate any harm to those who carry out their duty to protect the country and enforce the law.” He stressed that anyone who dares to attack security personnel will face stern legal measures.
This statement came in a press release issued by the Ministry following Sheikh Fahad Al-Yousef’s visit to an injured security officer receiving treatment at a hospital, to check on his health condition after he was assaulted while performing his duties in the Ali Sabah Al-Salem area.
Sheikh Fahad Al-Yousef noted that the Ministry of Interior will continue to support its personnel, remain committed to ensuring their protection, and enable them to fulfill their national mission with full capability. He expressed his appreciation for the efforts of the medical teams overseeing the injured officer’s treatment, as well as the care and attention provided to ensure the stability of his health condition.
The statement added that the Minister of Interior listened to a briefing from the treating medical team regarding the injured officer’s health status and the treatment plan being followed, wishing him a speedy recovery and a prompt return to duty.
