French President Emmanuel Macron, citing The Guardian, announced that French forces must be prepared for future wars.

Speaking during his traditional address to the nation’s armed forces on the eve of Bastille Day (France’s national holiday), Macron said, “We must prepare for the wars to come. But we must recognize that our ability to fight them will depend on our current standing. It is precisely these contemporary conflicts that we must strive to win.”
