Trump praises his health condition, confirms: Requested a “cognitive test” - Sarmad

US President Donald Trump said on Saturday that he had “just finished” a medical examination at the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, referring to the check-up he underwent in late May, after which the White House stated he was in excellent health.

Trump, who turned 80 in June, wrote on his Truth Social platform: “I just completed a perfect medical exam at Walter Reed. I undergo this exam every six months.”

He added, “I requested another cognitive test, and I am the only president to do so. I took it three times and passed all of them, answering every question correctly.”

The White House clarified that Trump was referring to the medical examination he had undergone in May.

Trump included this statement in a social media post in which he attacked New York Times reporter Maggie Haberman and her colleague Jonathan Swan, who recently co-authored a book about Trump’s return to power, which has drawn widespread attention.

Haberman and Swan’s book, titled “Change of Guard: Inside the Empire of Donald Trump,” addresses concerns held by some White House aides regarding Trump’s age, stamina, and physical condition.

At 80 years old, Trump is the oldest person to assume the US presidency.

Questions about the health and mental fitness of elderly leaders have become a recurring issue in Washington, following concerns about the cognitive abilities of former President Joe Biden, which ultimately led to the end of his 2024 re-election campaign.

Notably, Trump has repeatedly boasted about his performance on cognitive tests, stating that he has taken them several times and achieved the best results.
