Minister of Education Discusses with UNESCO Ways to Enhance Cooperation and Develop Education in Kuwait - Sarmad

Education Minister Eng. Sayed Jalal Al-Tabatabaie held talks with Kuwait’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), Dr. Ali Al-Mutawa, on ways to enhance cooperation and coordination with the organization to support the development of Kuwait’s education system.

The Ministry of Education said in a statement on Saturday that the meeting, held on the sidelines of Minister Al-Tabatabaie’s participation in the “Transforming Education Summit +4” at UNESCO headquarters in Paris, reflects the ministry’s commitment to leveraging international expertise and best practices in line with Kuwait’s strategy to elevate the education sector.

It added that the two sides reviewed a number of educational and cultural issues and discussed mechanisms to strengthen cooperation with UNESCO and expand Kuwait’s presence in the educational and cultural initiatives organized by the organization.

The ministry clarified that the minister was briefed during the meeting on the procedures for managing Kuwait’s files with UNESCO and the role played by the Permanent Mission in representing the country, safeguarding its national interests, and enhancing opportunities for international cooperation.

Both sides emphasized the importance of maintaining close coordination between the Ministry of Education and UNESCO and strengthening their partnership to help achieve Kuwait’s goals in developing the education sector.

Members of the official delegation accompanying the minister attended the meeting, which was held at UNESCO headquarters in the French capital, Paris.
