Ministry of Education announces Kuwaiti students' participation in the International Chemistry Olympiad in Uzbekistan - Sarmad

(KUNA) – The Ministry of Education announced on Friday that the Kuwaiti student team, representing public and private schools, will travel to Tashkent, Uzbekistan, to participate in the International Chemistry Olympiad, which will take place from July 10 to 19.

In a statement, the ministry said the student team comprises three gifted high school students: Ali Al-Qallaf, Zahra Al-Haddad, and Fatima Al-Mulla, who have been prepared and trained to compete in international scientific competitions.

The ministry added that the team is supervised by the Technical Guidance Department for Sciences at the Ministry of Education, with support and sponsorship from the Sabah Al-Ahmad Center for Talent and Creativity, one of the centers under the Kuwait Foundation for the Advancement of Sciences. The team will be accompanied by chemistry guide Isa Al-Qallaf and chemistry guide Haifa Al-Adwani.

The ministry emphasized that this participation is the result of efforts made to identify, nurture, prepare, and train gifted students to compete in international scientific competitions and olympiads, thereby contributing to the development of their scientific capabilities, enhancing their skills in science, and representing Kuwait honorably on the international stage.

The ministry expressed its best wishes for the team members’ success in the olympiad competitions, hoping they achieve honorable results befitting the name of Kuwait and raise its flag high at this international scientific forum.
