Iraq: Granting a substantial financial reward to informants on public funds recovered from corruption crimes - Sarmad

Iraqi Prime Minister Ali Faleh Al-Zaidi has ordered that a substantial financial reward be granted to individuals who report public assets and funds recovered from corruption crimes.

The Prime Minister’s Media Office stated in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA) that Prime Minister Ali Faleh Al-Zaidi calls on all citizens to report public assets and funds obtained through corruption, to contribute to their exposure, recovery, and return to the state. This appeal is based on religious, moral, and national responsibilities, and reflects his commitment to safeguarding public funds, in accordance with the ministerial program.

He added that the Prime Minister has directed that a significant financial reward be provided to informants in accordance with the law, to recognize their national role and support anti-corruption efforts and the protection of public funds. A dedicated contact link for this purpose will be announced at a later date.
