The Arab League expressed its condemnation of the Houthi group’s attempt to target the Medina region in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia with a ballistic missile, affirming that this attack constitutes a serious escalation and an unacceptable violation of the Kingdom’s sovereignty, security, and territorial integrity, as well as an affront to the sentiments of Muslims worldwide.
In a statement issued on Friday, the Arab League emphasized that the recurrence of such attacks not only threatens the security of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia but also exacerbates tensions, jeopardizes regional security and stability, and undermines efforts to contain escalation.
The Arab League reiterated its full solidarity with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and its support for the legitimate measures undertaken by the Kingdom to protect its security, sovereignty, and territorial integrity, and to counter all threats targeting the Kingdom’s security and the safety of its citizens.
