Khaled Al-Mudhaf, Acting Director General of the Public Institution for Social Security, expressed his pride in the issuance of a first-instance ruling by the English Commercial Court in London today, Thursday, November 5, 2026, in favor of the institution against its former Director General, Fahd Majeed Al-Rajjan, and his partners.
This statement came in a press remark by Al-Mudhaf on the occasion of the first-instance ruling in the lawsuit filed in 2019, led by the legal team at the Administration of Fatwa and Legislation, against Al-Rajjan and his partners. The case continued after Al-Rajjan’s death against his estate, represented by his wife and heirs, alongside his partners. The court ruled in favor of all claims, with interest and expenses to be determined in subsequent sessions.
Al-Mudhaf praised the fruitful cooperation and coordination between the Institution and the Administration of Fatwa and Legislation, commending the significant efforts of the legal team at the Administration, which has followed up on this file for 11 years in collaboration with foreign law firms. This work began following the issuance of Cabinet Resolution No. (89) on January 19, 2015, which tasked the Administration and the Institution with initiating legal procedures related to violations and suspicions of encroachment on public funds, and pursuing legal cases and procedures in England, Switzerland, and other jurisdictions.
Al-Mudhaf affirmed that the Public Institution for Social Security will continue to follow up on all procedures resulting from the ruling and work to recover its rights, emphasizing that “protecting the institution’s funds and the rights of insured persons and retirees is a national responsibility, and the institution will spare no effort in fulfilling it.”
