Sisi congratulates Mayar, winner of 'Arab Reading Challenge', and awards her the Merit Medal

President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi renewed his congratulations to Egyptian student Mayar Osman, who secured first place and the title of champion of the tenth edition of the “Arabic Reading Challenge,” held in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, during a meeting with her in Cairo on Wednesday.

He extended his congratulations to her family, which provided a supportive and motivating environment for her to achieve this excellence, and awarded her the Second Class Medal of Distinction.

President el-Sisi emphasized that student Mayar Osman serves as a role model and an example to emulate, noting that honoring one of Egypt’s outstanding daughters aligns with the state’s commitment to highlighting inspiring figures among the nation’s gifted, high-achieving, and talented individuals, showcasing their accomplishments, and appreciating their excellence across various fields. He also stressed the state’s focus on the Arabic language and its efforts to elevate the standard of its teaching in schools throughout the country.

For her part, Mayar expressed her sincere gratitude and appreciation to President el-Sisi for the gracious reception and the attention and honor she received, affirming that this support and encouragement serve as a major motivation for her to continue her journey of excellence and bring honor to Egypt, while also inspiring gifted individuals and youth in general to strive harder, contribute more, and achieve greater success.
