Kuwait’s Minister of Social Affairs, Labor, Social Development, and Family Affairs, Dr. Amthal Al-Huwail, affirmed on Wednesday the importance of qualifying individuals with autism spectrum disorder and integrating them into the labor market through training, empowerment, and employment, commending the outcomes of the “Innovartism” initiative.
This came during a press statement by Al-Huwail upon receiving the graduates of the first edition of the initiative, which included 14 participants, where she praised their achievements and the creative skills they acquired during the training period.
She explained that the program included training in storytelling and production using artificial intelligence technologies, in collaboration with the United Nations Development Programme, alongside character and story creation in partnership with the American University of Kuwait and the Gulf University, with the participation of Dr. Fahad Al-Daoui and Dr. Shahd Al-Shammari.
Al-Huwail encouraged the graduates to continue developing their skills and leveraging their creative potential, emphasizing the Ministry’s commitment to supporting initiatives that open new avenues for employment and enhance the participation of persons with disabilities in society.
