The center said in a statement to “Al-Rai” that “the events begin on November 9 with the birth of the crescent of the month of Jumada al-Thani, at 10:03 a.m. Kuwait time, coinciding with the new moon aligning with the sun.”
It added that “on November 15, the sky will witness a conjunction between Jupiter and Mars, as Jupiter will pass one degree and 14 arcminutes south of Mars. Both planets will be visible from Kuwait City at 11:29 p.m., above the southeastern horizon.”
It further noted that “Kuwait’s sky will experience Leonid meteor showers on November 17 and 18, produced when small rocky and dusty particles left behind by a comet or asteroid enter Earth’s atmosphere, appearing as bright, fast-moving streaks of light.”
It explained that “on November 20, Mercury reaches its greatest western elongation, its farthest angular distance from the sun, providing an opportunity to observe it clearly.”
It mentioned that “on November 24, the moon will be full, located in the constellation of Al-Thuraya (the Pleiades). This full moon is known as the November full moon, or the Beaver Moon, a historical name given by Native American tribes in America, referring to beavers that build their dams during this time of year.”
It said that “the events conclude on November 27, when Venus reaches its maximum brightness during its morning apparition, with an apparent magnitude of -4.7. Its altitude from Kuwait City will reach approximately 39 degrees above the horizon at sunrise, making it clear and bright in the sky.”
